The New Popularity Of Organic Skin Care Products
Ever looked at the ingredients label on your fave bottle of moisturizer or foundation? Chances are, the list contains plenty of chemicals that are practically very unlikely to announce.
Ever puzzled what type of long term effects these chemicals can have on your face? I have, and is the reason I switched to organic skin products about last year. Now my face has a healthy appearance that makes me look years younger and far fitter than ever! My friends have spotted the difference, and asked me to share my secret towards my skin care regime. I told them about my new regimen that is composed of only organic skin products, thinking they’d instantly share my passion. I was so surprised to see my revelation met up with a little bit of skepticism.
Purportedly, my friends had attempted some items marked “all-natural”, but did not get the results which they were after.
After asking them some follow-up questions, it would appear that they weren’t essentially using the right brands. Because it is so hip to be natural today, many makers are decorating their packing with pretty flowers adding a hint of herbal extract, and promoting their stuff as organic skin balms. Glaringly that isn’t what I meant! To find the best organic skin cleansers, it’s necessary that you perform a little research first. If you’ve got a beauty advisor or esthetician that you consistently see at the salon or spa, then she’ll potentially start you out with some great recommendations.
This would be the best route, since the individual is acquainted with your skin and any express issues ( like oiliness or aridness ) that you could have.
Also, your normal esthetician is likely going to be conscious of your general budget and how much you usually spend on beauty creams or whatnot, so she’ll be prepared to recommend a product that you are able to afford. If you don’t have a counsel, then you can just do some online research. Take stockpile of your common beauty supplies first, and then attempt to find organic skin therapy creams to replace the ones you use.

Consider Trying a Herbal Acne Treatment for Clear Skin
Herbal Acne Treatment
Have you considered using a herbal acne treatment to help with your acne problem? Well, those of us who suffer from blemishes, pimples, and generally bad skin have already tried every over-the-counter cream, gel, and cleanser available. Those products might provide temporary relief by drying out the pimples we have now, but they do nothing to prevent new breakouts from occurring. Moreover, some of the national name brands contain very strong chemicals that can irritate sensitive skin, leading to redness, flaking, and itching after prolonged use. That’s why I switched to an herbal acne treatment a few months ago — with pretty good results!
There are Many Herbal Acne Treatment Options Available
Today, consumers can choose from a wide variety of herbal acne treatment options, depending on how their skin reacts to different substances. Natural remedies for skin problems have been around for literally thousands of years, beginning with ancient cultures recognizing the healing properties in certain plants like aloe.
Finding The Right Herbal Acne Treatment Can be Time Consuming
Finding an herbal acne treatment that worked for me was a time-consuming process. The first thing I did was check out some skincare message boards where other people talked about the kinds of problems they were having. I paid particular attention to those who described symptoms similar to my own, and then read about the different acne remedies they tried. I then selected a product or two to try for myself. The part of this whole process that takes the longest is actually giving herbal acne treatments enough time to work. I think most of us are so desperate for results sometimes that we give up on a herbal acne remedy if we’re not completely clear within a week or two. This is wholly unrealistic, and can lead to folks abandoning perfectly effective products too quickly.
I found that my skin reacts best to tea tree oil, witch hazel, and rose water, so I now buy herbal treatments for acne that feature these ingredients. I’ve also learned that I can boost the effect of whatever herbal acne treatment I’m using by adding natural supplements to my regimen. These range from vitamins like B5 and B12 to fish oil tablets, and they combine to make my skin very soft and smooth. I still get the occasional pimple and a few blackheads here and there, but my face is generally in a much better state since I ditched the chemical treatments and started using mild, natural products instead.
Now that my face is as clear as it’s ever been, I’m looking for a herbal acne treatment that will work on old scars. I don’t have too many of those (fortunately), but the ones I have are in rather noticeable spots, so I’d like to find something that can at least fade them if not erase them altogether. Hopefully I can find something soon!
Overall, I’ve had a great experience with each herbal acne treatment I’ve tried. I know everyone’s skin is different, so some people might not respond as well as others. But when dealing with persistent pimples, I think it’s important to try everything you can.

Seven Natural Eczema Treatments to Help Save Money
Natural Eczema Treatments
If you suffer from eczema you have probably tried an eczema treatment for your problem. You’ve probably spent a lot of time and money on doctor’s visits and expensive medications without results. Here we’ve got seven natural, old-time eczema treatments that don’t cost an arm and a leg and are quite effective.
Ideas on Effective Natural Eczema Treatments
Amaranth tea is an effective eczema treatment. Here’s the formula: you’ll need two teaspoons of amaranth seeds and, if available, 1 teaspoon of amaranth leaves. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting, add the amaranth seeds and simmer for five minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and add the leaves. Steep for 30 minutes. If you can’t find the leaves, don’t worry – it’s not essential, but does increase the effectiveness. When cool, use as a wash, twice daily.
Another natural treatment for eczema is echinacea. Echinacea is an herb best known as a cold preventative, blood cleanser and immune system booster. However, a little known benefit of Echinacea is that even long-standing cases of eczema respond well to Echinacea tablets (available at health food stores) within several days.
Here’s another natural eczema treatment which, while being a bit unusual, is highly effective. For each treatment, combine one tablespoon of peeled, raw, grated potato with 2/3 teaspoon of uncooked, granulated quick-cooking tapioca. Add just enough water to make a thick, sticky paste. Spread the paste on several layers of gauze and fasten to the affected area with medical adhesive tape. Change every day, repeating until relief is obtained.
Watercress tea for an eczema treatment? You bet! Thoroughly wash 1 large bunch of watercress and place in a stainless steel saucepan, with just sufficient water to cover the greens. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat, simmering slowly until the watercress is quite tender. Strain the cress well, through a few layers of cheesecloth and refrigerate. Bathe the affected area(s) a few times each day, with a piece of soft cloth. For comfort’s sake, a soft linen works best.
Other Natural Eczema Treatments to Consider
Would you believe that horseradish root can treat eczema? Yes, indeed and quite effectively. Grate a 3-4 inch piece of fresh horseradish root, put it into a glass bottle and cover with apple cider vinegar. Set the covered jar on a sunny window ledge for 10 days. Strain the horseradish root out and refrigerate the remaining liquid. For each application, dilute the vinegar with equal parts of water and apply daily.
Another eczema home treatment is warm water and molasses. Some cases of eczema respond well to warm water combined with a couple of teaspoons of blackstrap molasses. Soak the affected area frequently in the bath each day. In addition to the soaking, take a teaspoon of molasses by mouth, several times a day. Note that diabetics should not use this treatment!
Our last natural eczema treatment is for dry eczema only, as it will make weeping eczema worse! Take 1 capsule of propolis twice daily, for 3-4 days, then follow up with one application of the propolis cream daily, until the eczema is relieved. Propolis capsules and cream are available at health food stores. Note that about 1 in every 2,000 persons have an allergic reaction to propolis. Should you develop a rash, discontinue use. The rash will disappear upon discontinuing the propolis.
You’ll surely agree that eczema is no fun! One of these natural eczema treatments will work well for you and you’ll save time and money, too!

Natural Acne Remedies – Tips On Home Remedies For Acne
Natural Acne Remedies
Natural acne remedies are the most advisable acne treatments for sensitive skin. Although there are hundreds of manufactured remedies for acne promising alleviation of the disturbing skin conditions, it is always advisable to seek a doctor’s advice before trying them out. Acne break-outs usually occur in the teenage years when most young people experience an increase of testosterone production in the body. Psychological disturbances, stress and irregular lifestyles are also thought to contribute to acne pimples in adults. Here are some natural acne remedies that may possibly help you prevent acne on your skin.
Types of Natural Acne Remedies
Some of the natural acne remedies used to cure or alleviate the severity of acne includes Aloe Vera, Tea tree oil, vitamin A and Zinc. Tea Tree oil is a very effective acne treatment since it has bacteria-fighting properties. Bacteria are the major cause of acne outbreaks and tea tree has active properties that either weaken the bacteria or kills them.
Aloe Vera is also among the viable natural acne remedies. It contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory soothing properties. Aloe Vera can also be applied on the affected areas to help treat acne, or taken orally for detoxification of the digestive tract. This in turn helps alleviate the acne skin condition.
Zinc is another potent natural acne remedy usually taken in capsule form. Zinc helps repair the skin and also reinforces one’s immune system. Vitamin A on the other hand is obtained from foods, but is also available in tablet form. The vitamin helps the body develop a healthy skin. Vitamin E is considered a natural anti-oxidant and hence beneficial to the skin.
Dermatologists encourage acne sufferers to drink a minimum of four pints of water daily. In addition, eating leafy vegetables and fresh fruit is also beneficial to the skin as it improves the skins ability to heal and rejuvenate itself. Some other natural acne remedies suggested by dermatologists include applying a mixture of tomato pulp, rose water and honey on the face for 20 minutes before washing it up. Tomato contains Vitamin C which is a vital vitamin in alleviating skin conditions.
Other Natural Acne Remedies to Consider
Other natural acne remedies include soaking 3-4 cloves of raw garlic in milk overnight (to remove the garlic smell) and applying it on the face the next morning. This is especially effective on persistent acne pimples. Other home remedies for acne are raw potatoes which contain potassium, phosphorous and sulphur, components which are thought to be highly beneficial to a person’s skin. Rubbing shredded or grated potatoes on the skin cures pimples and reduces both white heads and blackheads. The juice of a green (raw) papaya also reduces the severity of the swelling brought about by pimples, therefore preventing the formation of pus and marks on one’s face.
